Dear Little Child, My Younger Self,

As I sit down to pen this letter to you, a flood of emotions engulfs me, carrying me back to the very core of our shared journey. I want you to know that you are stronger than you could ever imagine, and despite the trials that lie ahead, you will emerge resilient and victorious.

Growing up in the embrace of our humble family, you quickly learned the value of hard work. Working alongside Dad from the tender age of 8, life threw challenges at us that most children could never fathom. Our hands bore callouses, and our backs bore the weight of responsibility that was unfairly placed upon us. But amidst the struggle, remember this - it was here, in the crucible of adversity, that the seeds of strength and determination were sown.

I wrote it to map out the exact anatomy of trauma—the locked doors, the hypervigilance, the mood of footsteps. I wrote about what it feels like to leave your body during a panic attack, to step outside the moment, to watch from a distance as if what was happening belonged to someone else.
